Hans Kirchner

Hans Kirchner was born on 6 December 1904 in Ilmenau (Germany). There is no information about his education, but after some possible studies he returned to Ilmenau in 1938 at the latest. Since this year he is listed in the local address book as a "musician". He lived in the same address as Franz Kirchner, very likely his father or brother, who was municipal music director and music dealer. In 1958 he married Leonie Schröder in Ilmenau. There is no further biographical information available about him.

Hans Kirchner died on 13 March 1969 in Ilmenau (Germany).

Ein Märchen

In my possession is the autograph manuscript of the work "Ein Märchen" (A fairy tale) for violin and piano op.19 by Hans Kirchner. The work was composed in 1933 and is dedicated to the bandmaster Reinhold Lätsch.
