This site present my effect on the world premiere of the "Andante pour piano et violon" (1876) by Vincent d'Indy (1851-1931)
In 2017 I found the autograph manuscript of the "Andante pour piano et violon" by Vincent d'Indy, a previously unknown and unpublished composition. I immediately typeset the score and published it through this website. Only a year later this publication was noticed by renowned French violinist Gaëtane Prouvost, who was preparing a recording of the Violin sonata by Vincent d'Indy and looking for unrecorded compositions for violin by the composer. Through my publication project she had free access to the score, studied it and decided to include it in her recording.
In June 2019 the recording session with distinguished Belgian pianist Eliane Reyes took place and that date marks the world premiere performance of the Andante by Vincent d'Indy. In March 2020 the recording was published through the record label EmPhases and includes also works by Albert Dupuis and Ermend Bonnal.
The Andante can be listened to here:
Personal dedication by Gaëtane Prouvost on the CD booklet of the recording saying "For Tobias who made us discover that beautiful Andante!"
